Who We Are

Moon Rock Studios Inc. is a Canadian software engineering and technology consulting firm specializing in the design, development, and long-term stewardship of complex backend systems and integrated digital platforms. Established in 2022, the company formalized a decade of engineering work previously conducted under the leadership of its founder, ensuring continuity, professionalism, and enterprise-grade technical delivery.

Our Founder

Moon Rock Studios was founded by Varun Aggarwal, a Computer Engineering graduate from the University of Waterloo (Class of 2010). Varun’s career includes working at world-leading organizations including Petro Canada, Qualcomm (San Diego), Amazon (Seattle), and CBS Radio (Los Angeles) among others.

Following graduation, he accumulated extensive full-stack and systems architecture experience across startups, agencies, and SaaS platforms. He previously operated Chic.media, a New York–based web development agency, and contributed to multiple early-stage companies before shifting focus to enterprise-level engineering and technical strategy.

Our Work

For the past 10 years, Moon Rock Studios (originally operating under the founder’s engineering practice) has been responsible for architecting, building, and scaling the entire technology stack for Freedom Merchants—supporting more than 2,000 businesses across North America. Our work spans:
